The Vizio XVT 553SV 55 inch TruLED with Smart Dimming HDTV is touted as delivering the “ultimate HDTV experience” and one of the “top 55 inch HDTVs 2010“.  In this VIZIO XVT553SV Review we investigate if it does live up to this, or be considered a contender for one of the “top 55 inch HDTVs 2011“.   For one of the more affordable flat-panel TV’s it’s main argument is the great features you get for the price. The first thing one needs to say as we cover best led tv and 55 inch tvs, and specifically review Vizio xvt553sv, is that it does provide a visual feast. • Good HDTV picture-most buyers think the Vizio XVT553SV has a better picture than most plasma TVs, and none or little glare compared to their screens (possibly because of the matte finish of the Vizio screen), whilst also using less electricity than them

• Keyboard has 39 keys, a four-way arrow pad, and four color-coded keys that relate to the color keys on the face of the remote. If you keep in mind the keys are meant for thumb typing it makes  tweeting or updating Facebook status, or navigating streaming Web services a lot easier than using an on-screen (soft) keyboard

• Some LED “blooming”
• Has fewer picture controls than some high-end HDTVs-the settings are only adjusted by Remote
• Remote is a bit shorter and stubbier than most but the keyboard makes up for this.  Keyboard keys may be a bit too small for some
• The looks are somewhat “generic” when compared to the exterior look of some high-end HDTVs but many people have said “none (of the Sonys and Samsungs) have better picture quality”

-and for the PRICE, great PICTURE QUALITY,well thought-out DESIGN and stacks of FEATURES it has probably the best value among high(er) end LED-based LCD TVs today.

“The  picture is simply amazing.  I liked the look of it when I bought it and even more when football.  The News channels like Fox etc look very good as well. I like all the things and features you can do with the wi-fi-you are able to easily download different games and other widgets (apart from the ones you get as standard anyway) including streaming Netflix direct to your set and the quility is excellent. The remote control for this tv has to be one of the best designed remotes out there. There is no need for codes-it’s real simple to program all of your devices just by clicking on each brand ; there are loads of HDMI outlets for all my toy and my PS3 looks AWESOME on this screen.  I shopped around everywhere and this model was easily the best value-the other  55 inch 240hz and 1080P ones were all around 1000 bucks more. I can’t imagine this TV getting a bad review unless it was bought with a defect.”
